Online marketplace AliExpress starts selling cars in Russia

MOSCOW, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Online trading floor AliExpress in Russia has started dealing in cars, and Chery will become the first brand, AliExpress said on Tuesday in a statement.

“In order to promote new model Tiggo 7, the Chinese carmaker opens an official store on AliExpress. Russian buyers will get access to Chery’s flagship models, components, and accessories,” the statement read.

Automobile goods are traditionally among the most popular categories in Russia and on other key markets, like Spain and Israel, and Chery is among bestselling brands on the platform.
